BiG-i Art Project Call for Entries 2013

When we can see what is in our heart,
When we can feel our hearts beating,
Shapes,
Lines
Will be created
From nowhere
To meet you.

■ What is the BiG-i Art Project?
Art has the ability to connect people. Using this ability, the BiG-i Project encourages communication among all people, with or without disabilities, to share happiness and joy with each other. This project intends to help those with disabilities find their potentials and realize their dreams by following three concepts:
- Offering people with disabilities opportunities to engage in artistic activities;
- Discovering and fostering talented artists; and
- Supporting and promoting activities for artists with disabilities.

■ Entry and Selection Process
This is the third time we are calling for entries of artistic works by people with disabilities. As last year, we will make the selections by examining actual works submitted by artists from Japan. However, this year, in order to invite more overseas artists to submit their works for this project, we will conduct a primary photographic selection for the works submitted by overseas artists.
